Incapacity for work

Incapacity for work may be temporary or permanent.

In case of temporary incapacity for work, the attending physician shall prescribe the person a sick leave certificate. The sick leave certificate releases the person from fulfilling the labour and service obligation.

  • partial incapacity for work – due to an illness or injury, the person is not capable of working to the extent established in general national standards for working time (working capacity loss of 10– 90%).
