Refugee organisations

The objective of IOM (Integration Organisation for Migration) is to support humane and ordered migration.
Estonia has been an observer of IOM since 1998. Member status was acquired in 2004. Over years, the main fields of activity have been actions against human trafficking, integration, raising the awareness of officials, and helping migrants.

The main fields of activity of the IOM Office in Estonia are:

  • supported voluntary return and reintegration
  • cultural orientation for asylum seekers and beneficiaries of international protection
  • technical cooperation and raising the awareness of officials
  • raising the awareness of society
